An exclusive development of ten 1 & 2 bedroom apartments

As you drive into the Lincolnshire countryside, Folkingham is eight miles north of Bourne. The undulating countryside eventually gives way to a magnificent view of the village on the far hillside, dominated by the tower of the historic church and the magnificent façade of The Greyhound.

The Greyhound is situated in the market place. Dating back to 1611, it sprang to prominence during the 18th century when the village of Folkingham became a key staging post on the Lincoln to London stagecoach route.

When Sir Gilbert Heathcote was reforming Folkingham, he invested a huge amount of money in rebuilding The Greyhound, creating the present imposing frontage. It became one of the main stopping posts for coachmen travelling between Lincoln and London. The building is Grade II* listed and lies at the heart of the Folkingham Conservation Area.

The A15 cuts through the square and rises to the north where The Greyhound commands the vista. The building has a red brick frontage with stone dressings and a Collyweston slate roof.

Buildings generally of the C17, C18 and C19 enclose the Market Square and were formerly shops and public houses but most are now residential.
